State Complaints Process
Federal relations, state statues, and Florida Department of Education rules require that Florida institutions have processes for students, employees, and applicants to file complaints. In almost every situation, the College’s Grievance Procedure for resolving complaints must be followed before escalating the issue to the Florida Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights, or US Department of Education.

ANHO Complaint Procedures:.

To begin the process, you may contact the Executive Director (admin@anho.edu or (561)683-1400) so you can be assisted throughout the complaint procedures. This individual will be impartial and will help individuals resolve matters by offering informal and confidential exploration of options. Additionally, you may contact a variety of persons at the college level who can assist you, including, but not limited to:

  • Human Resources/Compliance Educator
  • Deans
  • Academic Advisors
  • ADA Coordinators / Title IX Coordinator
Before contacting the Division of Florida Colleges (FCSinfo@fldoe.org), please read ANHO’s policies and procedures for filing complaints. Examples of where these may be found include: persons at the college level who can assist you, including, but not limited to:

  • ANHO website
  • Student/Faculty Handbook
  • ANHO catalogs
  • ANHO Policies and Procedures
All persons are encouraged to work through the internal complaint and appeal processes at ANHO as the first step in filing a complaint. ANHO is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for ensuring lawful implementation of complaint procedures according to state statutes and federal regulations.

If you believe that your complaint has not been address satisfactorily at ANHO after exhausting ANHO’s internal Grievance procedures you could contact one of the below agencies:
