ANHO is pleased to announce participation in the Florida State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (FL-SARA) Program, effective January, 2018. This participation allows ANHO to follow the national standards for interstate offering of distance education courses.

The purpose of SARA is to make it more efficient for ANHO to provide General Education courses online through distance education to students from other approved states (all states are part of the National SARA council with the exception of California and Puerto Rico).

For further information, please feel free to contact us at 561-683-1400.

New Programs

ANHO is pleased to announce that we are offering two additional programs:
  1. Associate of Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (PhTA), in January 2018. ANHO is also pursuing an application for Candidacy for Physical Therapist Assistant Accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Graduation from a physical therapist assistant education program accredited by CAPTE, 1111 North Fairfax Street, VA 22314; phone: 703-706-3245; is necessary for eligibility to sit for the licensure examination, which is required in all states. ANHO is seeking accreditation of a new physical therapist assistant education program from CAPTE. On December 1, 2017, the program will submit an Application for Candidacy, which is the formal application required in the pre-accreditation stage. Submission of this document does not assure that the program will be granted Candidate for Accreditation status. Achievement of Candidate for Accreditation status is required prior to implementation of the professional/technical phase of the program; therefore, no students may be enrolled in professional/technical courses until Candidate for Accreditation status has been achieved. Further, though achievement of Candidate for Accreditation status signifies satisfactory progress toward accreditation, it does not assure that the program will be granted accreditation.

  2. Health and Fitness Trainer program in November 2017

IRS Warning of a "Federal Student Tax" Scam

On May 27, 2016 the IRS released a statement warning of a scam involving a bogus “Federal Student Tax". As provided in their statement, the scam is currently presented as “phone calls from IRS impersonators demanding payment for a non-existent tax, the ‘Federal Student Tax.'"

The IRS’ statement includes further explanation of what the scam includes, how students and taxpayers can protect their information, and how the IRS is responding to the issue. Institutions may want to make their students aware of this scam and the potential harm it may cause. More information on the IRS statement can be found on the website, at
